Summary

Department: Production
The primary role of the siding technician is to assist project managers with aspects of each job, relating to siding, that may require extensive hands-on work. Secondarily, they are able to complete small siding repairs to help maintain job profitability and efficient job velocity that may otherwise not be able to be met by subcontractor utilization. The siding technician will report directly to the production scheduler, who sets their overall schedule. Secondarily they will report to whichever project manager they may be assisting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform hands-on build and repair work, mainly involving exterior siding.
- Ensure work meets manufacturer specifications, local/state building codes, and Northface Construction quality standards.
- Provide step-by-step photo documentation of repairs and entire jobsite
- Communicate updates with homeowner, as needed
- Help production department maintain velocity/profitability goals
- Manage variables of build and repair work
- Assist with material logistics
- Assist with project oversight, as needed
- Attend company and department meetings, as able
- Complete assigned trainings
- Provide monthly vehicle status reports, or as needed

Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent; 2-4+ years related trade experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general industry updates, manufacturer requirements, and government requirements; ability to effectively present information in a way that is clear and actionable; ability to communicate effectively with homeowners, coworkers, and vendors.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Google platform (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.). They should also be able to learn and successfully navigate CRMs and other various company related software.
