Engineered wood siding, like LP Smartside, is manufactured using a select blend of materials that provide added protection from the elements. The blend includes natural wood strands blended with resins, waxes, and zinc borate to create an incredibly durable product against hail damage as well as moisture seepage or termite infestation. It also does not have any negative effects on appearance because it looks just like real wood without being damaged easily by weather conditions.
