So the first thing you’ll notice about this house is the dark color of the siding. The color itself is unique not a stock color but was prefinished in the factory. The siding is LP SmartSide, doesn’t rot, won’t be impacted by the elements like hail. This siding is so durable, it comes with a 50-year warranty and the pre-finish also comes with a warranty, that one being 25 years.
While the color is unique in of itself, the texture is also something you won’t see in very many houses. People are wanting to make a statement, not just by using different colors, but through the actual texture of the home. With this siding, we actually took two different sizes of siding and staggered them all around the house. The result is a modern, creative looking home that helps the house stand out while still blending in well with the rest of the neighborhood.

Cedar Wood Trim
Another awesome detail on this home is the cedar wood detailing around the windows. Now, we love working with cedar at Northface Construction. Cedar is nostalgic and has great character but also looks great on modern homes. Just remember that if you use cedar on your home, you’re going to want to continuously maintain it by sanding it, otherwise, it will fade to normal gray color.
